Narrow Way Cafe

My name is David Merritt, part owner of the Narrow Way Cafe and Shop, which is a community-based, community-style coffee shop right here on the Livermore Avenue of Fashion. We've just opened up, but we feel Just think about a couple of years ago. The auto companies had to be rescued, housing markets had to be restored, Detroit, they said, was gone. They said, you got to move out. And yet that fight that lives in almost every single Detroiter lives in this community right here on the Avenue of Fashion. But now you're seeing that resurgence. And that is why it was so important for my brother to team up with Bishop Andrew Merritt, our father, in meeting not only a need in the community, but bridging the gap of saying one generation to the next generation, let's touch people throughout the city. What makes Detroit special is the people. It's the spirit. Where the spirit of the Lord is, there's liberty. And no matter what comes its way with economic downtime and downturns and instability within the school system and all the things that Detroiters sort of face, they never give up. I think that's what makes Detroit so special. So we're so excited that we get a chance to build along with them and we can play a small role in a part in rebuilding the Levernoy Avenue of Fashion with the coffee shop, a place where community happens. It's to meet people and touch people in a different light, to show them customer service that's unmatched, products that come from Zingermans out of Ann Arbor and company Our coffee shop is for everyone. It's for that mom who started her own business and is taking care of business, but also taking care of home, It's for, Narrows is for everyone. We get to serve so many amazing people that juggle so many things throughout their day, whether it be work, whether it be family, and they're amazing at it. But this place is a chance for people to come in and relax. So when you come in to Narrows, you're going to be greeted, you're going to be treated with the utmost respect, and you're going to get to enjoy a coffee and baked goods experience that you won't really be able to find anywhere else.
