Heartland B-Cycle is the bike sharing system for the Greater Omaha area. With 74 stations, 300 classic bikes, and 90 electric pedal assist bikes, Heartland B-Cycle provides access to recreation and transportation across the metro. Heartland B-Cycle's new electric pedal assist bikes minimize barriers to cycling and allow riders to ride longer distances more often. While the rider is still getting exercise, the bikes are equipped with a motor which assists the rider as they pedal up to 17 miles per hour. The assist allows you to tackle Omaha's hills, catch up with traffic, and start from a stopped position with ease and speed. During our first year of e-bikes, we saw a 135% increase in year-over-year ridership as these bikes changed the landscape of transportation in the Omaha Metro.
