You will need to wet the bike down either with hose pipe or with pressure washer just to wet the surface and loosen any dried on contaminants. Then you will use either shampoo or a snow foam device where you will spray the shampoo over the bike covering all the essential areas with the snow foam or with the shampoo. Once the snow foam is on the bike you will use a detailing brush to get into all the areas where ardent contaminants will be sitting. This will soften up the contaminants, the dirt, the dead flies around these areas giving the PPF install a more cleaner install. Looking at the video you can see all these areas need attention so don'think it's going to be a couple of minutes. The PPF kits go close to the edge and those areas were the brushes at the moment that's where contaminants are going to come in and spoil your perfect install. If you've got a kit and it has prime protection again these steps are ideal for the install. Once you've done the brush in all the furring areas you can then get your mitt and then wash the rest of the bike making sure that you're going over the surfaces. By that time any debris on the surface of the bike would have softened due to the snow foam going into all the areas again with the mitt. Work the brush into those areas making sure that you've not got no contaminants coming in for the install because during the install you will be using water with a spray applicator bottle which is provided in the kit so you want to eliminate any debris coming into the application. Again making sure that you're doing the instr Again I have a pressure washer hose pipe. With the pressure washer don't get too close. If you get really close you could damage the paint surface. The pressure washers these days have 112 pounds per square inch of pressure so if you get too close especially after you've added the PPF installed if you get too close to the edge you're potential of lifting the PPF away from the bike. Once you've rinsed the bike off you can either use a drying towel. This is where now I'm using the adhesion remover or the tar so you can get tar and glue. We're using a free amadhesion remover which works well with the tar as well. Get a clean microfiber cloth. These cloths are available on our website to purchase. You can buy them in singles or packs of five. Really great super absorbent and ideal for jobs Even when you've had the PPF fitted you can use these cloths to clean your bike. Use the polish. Use your wax. Super little microfiber towels. Then you can dry the bike down with a towel which you can purchase from CCC Next Gen. These towels are available. Great value. Super absorbent as you can see I'm just wiping the bike down. Again great size not too big not too small. Takes the moisture away literally just by wiping over the panel. Again try and keep straight lines not circles getting in to all those awkward areas. Also you could use a compressor as you can see if you have a compressor in your garage you could use that. Some people know by the blower that blows warmer through a tube and then over the surface. Again eliminating trapped water in all those tight confined spaces. Go up the areas where there's going to be water trapped as you can see through around the clock area around the handlebars. This is a good way of loosening that contaminants which are potentially still trapped between the panel. Coming to the end though final check making sure you get rid of all the water. Again while you're doing it make sure you loosen it around the engine and the frame around the rear shocker rear sets just to make sure that there's no water trapped in there as well. So that's the preparation of the bike completed. Again simple steps you probably use these steps when you're cleaning your bike after a good ride over the weekend or if you've been on a European or British tour. So next step will be preparation for installation.
