Hello, it'still with another Friday Cleveland Scooters public safety announcement. What we're doing is calling your attention to some of the bad products that we see out there people are buying on the internet and some of the lesser quality scooter shops out there. This is a Bon Road 21TH, they call it a Velocity. It's one of your typical GY6 scooters. It is a copy of an old Kimco Cobra. The first thing you'll notice with this bike is the front end, there's about an inch of play in the front steering bearing and also it doesn't feel This bike has only 611 miles on it and there's a ton of slop in the front end. The bike originally came to us the first time, couldn't charge its own battery, was losing power every night because the alarm system and remote starting system that was installed was draining the battery every evening. The customer's been riding the bike and last time it came in we noticed a pretty bad situation. What we've got on this bike is the rear axle is actually bent so the metal quality is so low. This is not a heavy person riding the bike. You're going to see the back wheel oscillating and the exhaust moving up and down. Let me go ahead and show you. Let's go ahead and bring the bike up to a wheel speed and take a look at that exhaust moving. The exhaust is oscillating about a half an inch and what that's doing of course is the rear swing arm support and the exhaust hanger is twisting where the front of the bike is fixed to the exhaust manifold. Obviously this has caused the rear seals to fail in the final drive. When the rear seals failed in the final drive the back end of the bike lost all of its oil. So this bike has lost all of its transmission fluid, transmission oil is gone, presenting a very dangerous situation. You can't run these bikes with no lubrication in the back end. The back end will lock up and you'll have an epic failure on the road. If you're looking at some of these bikes you want to pay attention to items This could actually be dangerous for the customer. Thank you.
