Established in 1923 and still family owned after more than 85 years!
Family owned since 1923, Peninsula Creamery Dairy Store serves up delicious breakfast, lunch and desserts. Try the milkshakes!
The next stop on a nostalgic road trip back to the 50s is the Peninsula Creamery Drive-In, inspired by mid-century diner architecture and the iconic Palo Alto Ice Cream Shop. Children can ride up on their shiny pedal cars and order a frosty milkshake under the cool shade of the sleek, cantilevered roof. Ordering and picking up your food is easy with the menu board, indoor-outdoor talk tube, serving counter and sliding window. If you're not in a hurry, you can head up to the indoor-outdoor dining loft on the second floor. You can also pull up an old milk can and enjoy your cool treat at the dining counter. For those running the shop, they can fill the stainless steel trough with ice to keep ice cream cold and then clean off their scoop in the sink. The diner kitchen is appointed with a vintage checkerboard floor, custom wood cabinetry and solid surface counters. The Peninsula Creamery Playhouse will surely be the favorite destination for the neighborhood kids to pretend they're running a real restaurant.
