Founded in 2015 at Smorgasburg, Wowfulls was created by David Chan, Peter Li and Yiming Hui – three average guys with a sweet tooth and an idea for a new type of dessert. In March of 2017, Wowfulls opened its first location in Lower East Side, New York City. Chan, Li and Hui sought to reintroduce plain Hong Kong waffles from the 1950’s for the modern day by topping them with ice cream in a waffle cone and finishing with various toppings. The confection soon spread by word of mouth and social media popularity has since taken Wowfulls to new heights in the food industry.
