La Michoacana Deluxe Ice Cream

Hey, Rackford Jake here. Today I'm joined by Stephanie from La Michoacana. Did I do it? Yes, you did. All right, which is actually Yes, it is. Some of you may be familiar with the Broadway and Shiroaki location. Those are our sister stores. Fantastic. And so this is your guys third location now on East Riverside. So coming up north here. But what can people expect to find? Well, I guess tell me a little bit about the origin story, right? Sure, yeah, definitely. So my parents actually had their own ice cream shop in Mexico a long, long time ago, and they decided to bring their craft here to Rockford 20 years later. We kind of, as kids grew up seeing them, create this awesome craft and this like special, So we just kind of decided to follow in their footsteps and this is what came out of it. I wanted to do a fresh new kind of look to it, add some modern updates and a beautiful addition of the Smurl and that motto there, that ice cream makes me feel at least it's kind of what we saw as kids. It's all these customers leaving happy because of their ice cream. So that's the main reason why we do what we do. That's fantastic. So for people that are not familiar with We actually make all of our ice cream popsicles, fresh waters, and even our cones in-house. So you can rest assured that anytime you bring a friend, your children, any relatives that you will be served an absolutely delicious and fresh product. That's amazing. And so We have anything from sweet, tangy, fruity to just outright different. The most popular ice cream is our specialty ice cream called La Moniana, which is a sorbet mango ice cream made out of real fruit that is chamois sauce, chili powder, and lime. It's very fun. Yeah, that sounds intense. That sounds amazing. So well, outside of coming down to your new location, what she address is? 1714 East Riverside Boulevard here in Love's Park. Right. So we're just off of Riverside and Alpine Yes. Right next to the Walgreens. We're in the same strip mall as So it'super easy to find. Yes. Yeah. And outside of people coming down and getting a scoop or 12 of your delicious ice cream, We have a Facebook page.
