Welcome to Seals on the Move, I'm Alex Seals. And I'm Rosie Seals. Is this the best ice cream in New York City? Today we are trying Ample Hills Creamery on ice cream made right in the city. So let's get a move on with Seals on the Move. Ample Hills Creamery has ice cream shops in New York, New Jersey and California. Fun fact, or maybe not so fun, there used to be a location at Disney's Boardwalk Inn at Walt Disney World, but it is no longer there. Another location was supposed to open in Disney Springs, but alas, it was not meant to be. Their employees are known as Amploys, and you thought calling an employee a cast member was unique. There you go, I mean, coffee, coffee. That might be the one you want. If the ice cream just looks too good to resist, no worries, it can be ordered online. They were the first to pasteurize ice cream in New York City and not somewhere else outside of the city. So I got coffee toffee and pretzel cone. So good. Chocolate's perfect, perfect balance of flavors. It's just the right amount of sweet, and the pretzel even adds to it. You can taste kind of the saltiness and a little bit of pretzel taste in there, which is really good with coffee and toffee. The moment has come to try a bite of the pretzel with ice cream. I think I'm going to get much ice cream in that bite. I'll try again. Yeah, let's do this. Oh sweet, what happens? That's a good idea. There's not a ton of flavor there, but what is there is really good. I would definitely recommend getting the pretzel, because it really adds when you're licking around the edges, the salt and the pretzel taste kind of coalesces with the coffee ice cream. Perfect. So I got coffee, coffee milkshake, but then the ladies would be So that's what I got. Let's go ahead and try this. Oh my gosh, anyone, if you love coffee, this is the thing to get. Amazing. Each pint container has unique art featuring the Ample Hills mascots. PB the pig, Walt the cow and Witty the chicken. The Just Vanilla Please flavor has a picture that pulls inspiration from Luke Steiner from Gilmore Girls, including the no cell phone sign. Speaking of that show, they even had a flavor called They Scoop Gilmore's, don'they? It was a combination of coffee, chocolate pudding, snickerdoodles, and pink pop tart sprinkles. The name Ample Hills comes from a Walt Whitman quote, I too lived, Brooklyn of Ample Hills was mine. Ample Hills is the largest ice cream facility in New York City, according to their website.
