Jerry Greenfield, the Jerry in Ben and Jerry's alongside Best Pal and co-founder Ben Cohen, recently made headlines when he resigned from the company after 50 years for, But there'still no bad feelings between Ben and Jerry themselves. They're still best-butt. But nobody is talking about who gets custody of Chunky Monkey or whether or not anyone will buy an ice cream just called Ben. So what happened? Basically, Ben and Jerry's has always And their parent company, Unilever, a global mega corporation that just owns a lot of things, has been asking that they maybe do less of that. To which they said, how about now? Pretty much. This has all come to a head because Unilever wants to spin off all of its different ice cream brands into a whole separate unit called Magn But instead of wanting to be part of this new venture, Ben and Jerry's want to be released entirely to become an independent company again.
