in Nashville Retail on the move but it's not going too far. White Smokin tile saying goodbye to its original location. They're in 12th South after more than a decade but they're not saying goodbye to the neighborhood. Amelia Young's in 12th South with more on this morning. So Amelia what's next with this local favorite? Hey Ben, well yeah the news is bitter sweet but they say they're also excited for this move because they do get to stay in this neighborhood so White Smokin tile they've been here next to Severe Park for 12 years. They're gonna be moving a couple blocks down into the old Mafiosas location so you may recall they closed last year. White Smokin tile is having to move because this area this block that they're on is going to remodel the space so they had to find a new location and they really wanted to stay in the area. So rather than leave the neighborhood the team recently shared on social media that they're gonna be moving into that former home of Mafiosas. It's a well-known Ciceria that closed last fall after 20 years on the same street. Of course Mafiosas decided a steep rent increase as it's reason for closure despite having extended it's originally through 2027 the restaurant held a long had long been a gathering place in the community and its exit mark to shift to the evolving 12 South area. Now the same space is of course you can come White Smokin tile begins remodeling and preparing to reopen just steps away from where they eventually began their story. So White's really expanded throughout Nashville. This is just one of four locations they've got but now they're gonna be able to stay in the 12 South neighborhood. They shared on social media kind of tease a little bit that they are starting to remodel that new location and will sometimes soon announce that opening date. But as for right now, there'still stuff in their store. They are still open here. They're gonna be some big news happening here in 12 South in the coming months.
