The Farmhouse Store

I'm Bill Curtis, one of the owners of the farmhouse store. My husband and I have both been giving back a lot to the community because the community has given us so much. We give whenever and wherever we can. I'm a cancer survivor and cancer has touched plenty of people in both my life and my husband's life. We started the business 13 years ago. We've always been conscious of making donations to charitable organizations in the area. We probably give to over 100 organizations a year. In the last two years I know we've given over $30,000 in donations to local organizations. We had an opportunity fairly recently to make donations to Imagine, which is an organization that helps people that are dealing with loss and also to Center for Hoop Hospice in Scotch Plains in Elizabeth. We feel And so it was really important for us and touching for us to be able to make significant donations to those organizations and help them with their mission. For the Center for Hope they were going in patient rooms so that their visitors would have some place comfortable to sit with people who were at the end stages of their life. In the Imagine the furniture went to their lounges and meeting rooms. This past year were in the happy recipients of quite a n These are important to us when our patients are in need of being out of bed and need something really comfortable to sit in. In our very home Having an extra comfortable seat in the room that reclines so fully that makes it possible for families sometimes to stay overnight and be with their loved one without having to worry about going and finding a room or being away or sitting up in less comfortable chairs.
