Hey there, it's Amelia from Sleepopolis and today I'm going to be reviewing the Nest Owl Natural Latex Hybrid. I'm going to put this bed through a series of tests and see how it performs on our Sleepopolis scorecard. The Nest Owl is a 12-inch hybrid mattress made with organic cotton and wool, foam, ptale latex, and pocketed coils. The Nest Owl comes in three different firmnesses, plush, medi We tested the medi It definitely has a soft, plush, and contouring feel. I do want to say that Nest Bedding sent us the Nest Owl mattress for free to review and to tell you about. And if you buy this mattress using our links in the description, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. That helps us to fund our testing and bring you these reviews for free. And if you buy this mattress, it comes with a 365-night trial, free shipping, and lifetime warranty. Nest also offers a lifetime renewal exchange program, which allows you to swap out the comfort layer of your mattress for free in order to change the firmness or simply extend the life of your mattress instead of purchasing an entire new mattress. It arrives compressed in a box, so you may want to have a friend help you unbox it and set it up. Now, we'll talk about how different sleeping positions will feel on this mattress. In every sleeping position, you want to make sure your spine is in neutral alignment and that you're properly cushioned, but different positions need different things out of a mattress to make that happen. Stomach sleepers typically find the best fit with a firmer mattress that keeps their hips propped up. The medi So, I would give the medi However, keep in mind there is a firmer version of this mattress that could work better for stomach sleepers. Side sleepers tend to do well on a soft mattress that offers sinkage around the hip and shoulder. I found the medi I would give this model a 4. 5 for side sleeping, but again, keep in mind there is an even softer version too. And lastly, back sleeping. Back sleepers need a good blend of comfort and support. I found the medi It'soft enough to be cozy and comfy, but still feels super supportive to maintain spinal alignment. And you could go softer or firmer if you prefer, so I would give this bed 5 stars for back sleeping. This next test is a big one if you share the bed with a partner or a pet, checking for motion transfer. Now, motion transfer refers to how much movement carries across a bed. So, if one partner is tossing and turning over there, how much you're going to feel it over here. And we I put a glass of wine one side, and then I moved around on the other side to see how it affected it. As you can see, there is a decent amount of movement. These aren't amazing results You will most likely feel medi So, overall, I would give it 3 and a half for motion isolation. Our next test is for edge support. Now, edge support refers to how well the perimeter of a bed bears weight. So think if you sit or lie along the edge, how much the bed will support you or sag down. To start the test, I sat on the side and moved around. And as you can see, I sink down a bit here. Then I moved to a sleeping position and rolled near the edge of the bed, and it didn't do very well here either. These edges don't feel very supportive at all. So I would give it 2 and a half stars for edge support. Okay, now onto our pressure map test. Now, I think this bed has a softer than average feel, but the pressure map is going to take it a step further and show where pressure is building up on my body while lying on this mattress. Here's what you need to know to interpret the results. Blues and greens indicate lower pressure, while reds and oranges indicate higher pressure. You're going to want to see low pressure around your back, hips and shoulders if you sleep on your side or back. On my back, we see very little pressure, which means this is a great result. And on my side, there is definitely a little bit more pressure buildup showing on the results. While I felt comfortable, this may not work well for those with more sensitive joints. So overall, I would give the Nest Owl a 4 and a half for back sleeping pressure relief. And I would give this medi Now let's do the responsiveness test. This test is basically about how easy it is to move around on the mattress, and that's really important for combination sleepers who change between sleeping positions, as well as people with mobility issues. I found it really easy to move around on the Nest Owl. Even though this bed has a plush feel, it'still quite bouncy, and the material is very responsive, so I had no issue moving around on it. So I would rate the Nest Owl 5 for responsiveness. Price is of course an important factor when you're shopping for a mattress, and keep in mind that prices do change often, and we also have some coupons to help you out in the description. But right now, you can get a queen-size Nest Owl for about $2,300 at full retail price. All right, now that we've made it through all the tests, it's time to crank the n Our score is out of five, and along with the tests I went through in this video, I'm also factoring in some other things So when I put it all together and average out the n Thanks so much for joining me for this video. I hope you found it helpful. If you want to learn more about this mattress, you can click the link in the description or head over to sleepopolis. com. Bye!
