Hi everyone! So through the past four years, I've been working on making furniture in my wood shop. This year I created Straight from the Woods. It's my goal to provide solid affordable furniture pieces that look attractive and are pleasing to the buyer!
I have fallen in love with furniture from the Arts and Crafts/Mission style. Gustav Stickley is commonly thought of as the creator and originator of this style. Promoting it for its clean and simple lines in the 1900s. This is mainly the style I focus on in my shop as well. I spend a lot of time drawing and sketching different designs and work hard at proportioning my furniture so they look and feel like they fit in the space they are going.
