Hi, this is Shuah, the owner of Kopi Coffee House in Portland, Oregon. The only Indonesian coffee house in the Northwest, where we have Kopi Jahe and Kopi Susu every day. It is quite surprising to find Kopi Jahe and Kopi Susu in a coffee shop in Portland, the country of Oregon. Especially the owner of Joshua, who is a farmer in Shua, his partner, Nako Neck, is an American family. The idea started in Flores, and I went to Kalimutu. So we did one of those all night hikes in Kalimutu, where they wake you up in the morning, and you hike up while it'still dark and you get to see the sun rise. And up at the top of Kalimutu was this lady, and she was serving Kopi Jahe out of a thermos. And I just kept buying another cup and another cup, and I thought it was such a wonderful marriage of flavors. Inspired by the unique taste of Kopi indonesia and Asia, Shuah and Nako opened Kopi Coffee House in 2015. The Western American region is well-known for its Kopi culture, and Kopi Coffee House tries to combine Kopi culture in this region with Asian Kopi culture. So far everybody is really, really responsive and loves it. The menu is adventurous, and a lot of Portland coffee places are sort of the same style over and over again. So a lot of people really appreciate the fact that we're doing something different, that we're introducing them to a culture that isn't well-known in Portland just yet. I've gotten this ginger coffee a couple of times, and most of my life I really And I think, Aside from the Kopi culture, this shop also sells Indonesian specialties such as roti, chicken and gado. The presence of Indonesian language and the music that is played in this cafe reminds us of the Kopi culture in the water. Well, It's very good. I As a new player in a city full of various coffee shops, Shua feels optimistic. Kopi Coffee House can even win competitions. Well, the strategy is to be completely different. I mean, we offer our menu because we're the only people that are doing Asian coffee in Portland. We don't feel competition at all. It's not, we're doing something different. And we want to share that different experience with people. Yes, it's your Jahe La Zayu. From Portland, Oregon, Ian
