GraceFull Community Cafe

7 o'clock the doors open up and there's always a smell of coffee and food. When I come here it feels comfortable This idea of could we combine a cafe that really didn't care if people had enough money to pay for it but they would still eat. It's the mission of Graceful to be able to provide food and give a place of belonging to people that walk through the doors. I really love the way that there is a variety of people in this space eating together and there is a bit of a level playing field in here. But that creates a space that is different than any restaurant or coffee shop or cafe that I've been in. Everyone is treated as equals here no matter what position that you may or may not be in. Feels In some of the old days I'm a single person right now and there's people here that's probably what I enjoy the most being around other people. When I come here I'm usually excited It'such a special place. We both, Gary works on Wednesdays, I work on Fridays and we just can't wait to get here because of the way it feels. It just feels good to be in this space. By volunteering here I've learned so much it's crazy. For me at least a very unique way to give back to a community that I'm not necessarily as involved as I should be in and I think it's a great way for me to get involved in a unique way that I have never considered before. Watching people just slow down from the everyday bustle when they come here and I can'tell you how many times I've been working in the back and noticed a table or two come in at noon and I'll be cleaning up at 1 or 1. 30 and those same people are at the table just visiting and relaxing so it really is a, you get that sense that it's a community cafe. Whether you're giving or receiving you're always treated the same here. So it's just that feel of the place and the beauty of the people and how they just care about everybody. I've never before I came to Graceville I've never heard or seen anything It's awesome. We had a family that was in here that was in one of those tough times and they said the most amazing thing. They were overheard saying for 30 minutes today I didn't feel homeless. There's nothing better than that. I come back because I just love everything about Graceville. I love the people here. And this place provides that space to just be in community with people that I love and eat good food while we're doing it. A lot of fun down in Little Town and at Graceville so come on here.
