909 Coffee And Wine

We offer a variety of delicious specialties. Enjoy to know our menu.

909 is a warm and cozy neighborhood gathering place. If you don’t know anyone when you walk in, you’ll certainly have made a new acquaintance by the time you leave. We do not offer Wi-Fi because we want 909 to be a place where our guests come together to share, not only food and drink, but great conversation. The 909 family is passionate about what we do and offer. That passion is why we take pride in serving locally roasted Caffé Umbria coffee, bread from Macrina bakery and gelato from Gelatiamo. We make all of our pastries and desserts in house. Our soups and salad dressings are all made from scratch. And we change our menu seasonally to take advantage of the freshest ingredients available. We want our guests to be able to try a variety of dishes when they come in, so we offer numerous small plates as well as larger entrees. Our wine selection changes frequently, and we always have 20-30 glass pours, with several tasting flights available. We offer 11 beers on tap, with a focus on local and micro-brewed beer. We believe that our guests deserve the best food and service we can provide. We want 909 to be more than just a place to satisfy your hunger – we want 909 to be a place to satisfy your soul.

My name is Ryan. Jeff Competition. You're in Bites Top, Jeff. The ball is picking up a box provided by Fregens. I have no idea what's in there. I've got about just under two hours to do it. I have to be back at home to ask my six o'clock. Sparragas, sats So I open up the mystery bag and it's garlic. Then I start thinking about the things that I have in the pantry at 9-0-9 that I can use to incorporate in my dish. The first thing I think of is making a raw sparing salad. I've been thinking about making a vinaigrette with the sats Hopefully it's not going to clash with this garlic. One thing I thought the vinaigrette needed was something just to give it a little extra kick. I go and grab the cayenne pepper and put just a little bit of cayenne pepper in it so it has a little bit of heat on the finish. The biggest concern is the pasta dish. I want to fire this pasta dish off at the very last minute so I can just put it in a box, bring it to home to ask, and replay it there and have it still be hot and steam coming off of it. The first thing I'm doing is peeling off the outside layers of the asparagus. Then I'm blanching the tips in salt water. I'm just immediately shocking it in an ice bath so you want to stop cooking and just keep them tender but still crispy. The last thing I want to do is make this sauce. I want to make this pasta dish. I want to have a saute pan ready, hot. I have my pasta water boiling. Everything ready. Just Again it's a very quick sauce so I need to do it at the very last minute so it doesn't seize up or overcook the asparagus on the way over or something so we're going to have mushy asparagus. I mean there's a lot of small details that go into a simple dish As I'm rushing everything out to my truck and getting ready to go I'm just freaking out making sure that I'm not forgetting anything. I'm running across the street with all my stuff. I can barely open the door because there'so many people at home to ask. I had to wade my way through a crowd just to get to the back section where I could find a desk and do all my plating at the very last night to bring up. The announcer announces my name, what restaurant I'm from and it's my turn to bring up my plates to the crew. I set both my plates down at the same time in front of the judges. The first thing I started to explain was the asparagus salad. Asparagus minors purse salad with a sats I've never made the asparagus salad before that was totally off the top of my head so I'm a little concerned that it might not work out. The pasta dish that I made is fresh fennuccine with sautu00e9ed yellowfoot mushrooms, asparagus, pancetta and parmesan. They've got my dishes in front of them, I've explained it to them, it's just a wait and see at this point. I hope they He announces it and I hear my name and I'm thrilled. I'm Ryan Nielsen, I'm a chef at 909 Coffee & Wine and I just won Birrian Bites Top Chef Qualifier.
