Alright guys, if you're changing the fluid because you have problems with your transmission, make sure that you go and have a scan, pull a hook up to it and make sure there's no cogs in there. Ready? Okay, so what you want to make sure of before you pull t You're probably only going to get four and a half quarts out of this transmission, but it is possible to get up to six quarts if the transmission's been setting overnight or something You may get more fluid out of it because the torque converter has drained back down into the bottom of the transmission and if it's been setting and that will fill it up more and you'll get more fluid out. But if you've had the ve So let's get t At the end of the video, I have all the torque specs for the plug. You don't want to just run these plugs all the way up against the transmission. You'll destroy them right there and cause yourself a lot of trouble. So what we're going to do, we're going to pull t Okay, so t But I'm going to go ahead and put the plug back in t So we'll go ahead and get t All right, we're just going to go ahead and torque it w Have it all finished up. We're done underneath and we'll go up top and start filling the full fluid. I'll show you what kind of plugs you should use in t I'm going to reach down in here and it just unscrews. Pull the cap out. Then what you'll want to do, run your funnel down in there. Come on, here, you can see what's going on. All right, this will help with shutters and problems T So what I'm going to do is start putting fluid in it. I have not pulled the check plug out yet. T So what I'm going to do is I'm going to put four quarts in it. I'm going to start it up and then I'm going to pull the check plug. That way I don't have the check plug out. I don't have to worry about any of that yet. I'm just going to go ahead and put my four and a half, four quarts in it. And then we'll start it up, pull the check plug, start adding from there. Just makes it easier doing it that way. So let's get started here. OK, so there's the check plug. We have drained all the fluid out and we have put four and a half quarts back in it. And now we're going to pull the check plug out. So we're going to pull the plug out. We're going to pull the plug out. And we have put four and a half quarts back in it. And now we're going to pull the check plug out. So if there's any coming out, then start adding from there. And if it is over-pulled, then we will just let whatever excess drain out. And we'll be ready to go. It's easier to do it t And then going ahead, put the drain plug back in and forking it. And there you see we have fluid coming out. What Cody's going to do is he's going to get a drain pan, catch the excess here. And we'll show you about where you want to get that down to. Now a lot of guys And there's not That'll work just fine. Me, I don't We'll just let it sit here and drain some and give you an idea of where you should put that plug back in there if you're doing t And one thing you have to keep in mind, But if you're just dropping the plug on yours and changing it, then you may not need to do that. It's just a good practice to go ahead and pull that plug back out and check it a second time. We put about four quarks in t Of course we didn't know where the level was or how efficient these call for four and a half to six and a half. So there's a big range of fluid difference on t It takes nine quarks for the total transmission fill. And There you go. That's what you want right there. When you see it do that, then you put the plug back in. And Then you'll know you've got, we're going to get the torque wrench in there. I can't fit in there with the torque wrench because we want to go right in with t So let's go back up to the top and put the plug back in and then you'll have those four quarks in fact popping up. You
