Alright, so CTIS, Central Tire Inflation. It's kind of a mythical thing among the off-road world. People ask, how does it work? Well, the center hub of a portal axle gearbox is hollow, so there's an air fitting on the back side. The hub is hollow and we have an air fitting that comes out the front side. Then we have a quick disconnect that goes from the center of the hub up to where you normally inflate the tire. So when everything is connected and pressurized, it keeps everything at the right pressure and you can adjust it up or down as you see fit. Now the key thing is with the quick disconnect, it's got a chuck valve inside of there, so when it's off, it shuts off the air valve so it won't continue to bleed out air. It's kind of a tricky system. This is one of our own in-house design systems. We put it together and so far it seems to be working pretty good. Got a few little quirks to work out. This hub in particular has an internal leak. We need to pull it back apart. Again, nothing goes perfect, but we're almost there. Really cool setup when it's all said and done.
