I'm practically in downtown here on West 12th Street and I found this abandoned Erie General Tire garage. Service center, whatever you want to call it. So let's check it out. I just happened to be driving the film a couple other places and I saw this as I was passing it so I turned around and figured I'd stop and film. You can see the scars on the wall there is that Erie General Tire. It's all fenced off in the back so probably won't be getting back there. Good thing the car doesn't need tires, they're brand new. The old sign. So we're good on tariff board. Look how nice it is in there. It's pretty cool. Look at my reflection. It's pretty cloudy out so fortunately there's not a whole lot of glare from the sun. It's chilly out too for Labor Day weekend. It's only right now in the low 60s. I mean while I'm still wearing flip-flops, shorts and a t-shirt. Looks Typical, typical, typical. I'd say you don't have any business hours there bud. Locked. Just a garage area. Just lovely paint job on the wall there. That blend of orange and white is just beautiful. I don't know anything about this place. I don't know how long it's been closed, how long it was open, when it opened. But I wanted to stop here and check it out because it just caught my attention and looked really cool. Even took out the lifts. Said we're practically in downtown Erie here. Next intersection up from behind me is Peach Street. So we're practically there. Can't even check that door. This is one of those occasions I wouldn't even go in You go into jail. Can't remember where show that was from. That's pretty cool work. Can't remember where show that was. The guy would hand out court papers. And if that people tried to beat him up he said you go to jail. You out of your mind. Oh boy. Can't remember the guy's name. That was funny. A lot of empty space here. I'm wondering if this may have been a gas station there because it looks Gas p It's hard to say. It's nothing but gravel anymore. Can still make a good business. See they covered up a lot of the graffiti here along the red paint. Wonderful sounds of the airy. Sounds Reminds me of Pittsburgh. I'll go around to the back where that fence was. I don't know what I'll be able to see back there though but I'll check it out. We go to the back of the building. Up. Garage area. Parking area. Garage door. Not getting in there though. They got that chained off. Still cold nevertheless. Alright guys well that was my look at Erie General Tire. If I appreciate that. And if you enjoyed this video make sure you give it a th And if you have thank you. Until next time guys take care.
