Community Thrift Store


The Windsor "Hope for a Cure" Community Thrift Store is a proud supporter of local organizations including the Canadian Cancer Society, Street Help, Windsor Homes Coalition Food Bank, Coats for Kids and more.


While most stores and restaurants in town are closed for Christmas, one new business is stepping up and providing families with a place to celebrate, as well as a warm meal to eat. You may remember when we covered the grand opening of the Community Thrift Store in Clifton earlier this year. Well, this Christmas, they're doing something many other stores aren't, staying open. But they're not just giving families a place to get those last-minute gifts, they're also hosting a Christmas dinner. They're giving to everyone and they're also doing what they call a giving table out front. The table is stocked with canned goods and necessities so people can come in and grab what they need. We try to stay open for people that need a place to go or feel We just want to be the light and not just talk about it. Along with the giving table and Christmas dinner, the Community Thrift is offering another gesture to make sure no kid goes without a present this year. Every kid's toy and book in the store was free today and everyone who walked in today got to pick out any $5 item they wanted.
