is Veterans Day, but today some veterans needing financial assistance do have the chance to get help in a very big way. The city of Tulsa is partnering with local organizations to give in-person help and applying for the emergency rental assistance program. So, to News Oklahoma reporter, Brady Halbleype joining us live outside of the community center at Veterans Park with what local veterans need to know. Brady. Cover an upcoming rent for the next three months. The project is coordinated by Restore Hope with the help from the city, county and state with funds from the U. S. Department of Treasury. And today, in honor of Veterans Day, the city plans to hold two community sign-up sessions. That's happening today from 9. 30 to 10. 30 and from 11 to noon. There will also be English and Spanish speaking volunteers to help. And the great thing about this is that there's no limit on the dollar amount for the assistance. You also don't need to bring your social security card. All you need to bring is a government-issued ID, copy of your lease and copy of your utility bills. And that is it. And if you're not a veteran but you're still interested in learning more and maybe applying to the program, we'll have a link to that on our website, kjrh. com. For now, live in Tulsa, Brady Halbleype, 2 News, Oklahoma.
