Hidden Treasures Thrift Store

With locations in Abbotsford and Chilliwack BC, Hidden Treasures sells high-quality second-hand products such as home decor, linens, hardware, sporting goods, toys and games, books, furniture, and clothing for the whole family. Revenue from Hidden Treasures helps support M2W2 Association, a phrase that's a place where volunteers from the community, non-profit partners, and local institutions come together to shop and serve. Volunteers are the heart of the stores. Let's hear from Maggie, the Abbotsford store manager. We have volunteers coming from Chilliwack, a lot from Abbotsford. We also have some from Surrey and Burnaby area as well as Langley. They're a little bit all over the place. Well, before the pandemic, we had both men and women coming from local institutions. Now that is not happening because those programs are shut down, but we are lucky enough to have paroled men and women who have decided to come and volunteer their time, which has been a huge help, a huge lifesaver for me during this time. I would not have enough help without them. So what's new at Hidden Treasures these days? We have probably never sold as many men's clothes or seen as many men'shoppers since the pandemic. It's been very surprising. And the other thing that people comment on a lot, of course, is the decor and the book section. We enlarged our book section this last year and it is a huge hit.
