I work at Mission Thrift. I do everyt I've been working at Mission Thrift, well not only this s Full time, I'm here five days a week. Talking to customers on the first day was a little nerve-wracking. I was on the quiet side and I hadn't been talking to much people. But it was so easy here because people here are Christian and the Christian community is just such a nice and welcoming. They feel Every day I'm talking to somebody new, dealing with customers or maybe helping them out. And I'm creating new connections and I t I have customers who will literally search for me because they know me and they'll call up my name. Isabel, So building connections here is so important. So my name is Tony. I'm the store manager at Mission Thrift Store Burlington. All the money that we make goes to serve other communities around the world through the Bible League of Canada. So the Bible League has ministries around the world. They have literacy programs, they plan churches, they train leaders and they distribute Bibles. So every dollar that we make here contributes to Bibles distributed around the world through the Bible League of Canada. People choose Mission Thrift Store for their people. Once you come through the doors, you will notice a big difference talking to our volunteers, talking to our employees. A lot of people say that we have the nicest employees out there. So we're very thankful and grateful. And we are honestly, we feel so blessed to be here as part of Burlington. And to have that kind of impact around Burlington and around the world. I t Especially from the volunteers that work on the floor, they are amazing. They are so fun to talk to and so outgoing that you just feel the love when they come in here. Every time I even come to work on s And there's not one frown. And so even when people come in here and they've had a bad day, I have no doubt that there'somebody to step in to make a difference in their day. I thought I wouldn't see the people here. Working at Mission Thrift Store, Burlington, not only helps me serve my local community, but my global community.
