People have a desire to have the living Word of God in their hand because they know that is their answer to salvation, to know that Jesus Christ is their Savior. My name is Michael Talsma. I'm the treasurer for the local Bibles for Mission Stores in London, Ontario. My name is Frank Osteik and I'm the director of store development with Bibles for Mission Thrift Stores. Bibles for Mission Thrift Stores operates over 40 thrift stores across Canada. We accept donated goods and we convert those goods into cash. With the cash we raise it goes directly to Bible-A Canada for the work that they do around the world in over 40 countries. We had many challenges in getting the store operational. The biggest of those of course was finding property. And once you found the property then you had to deal with all the other legal matters of stoning and bylaw changes. What we wanted to do with our new store was to be able to provide a place where people could come and shop, a place where people come and donate their goods that they no longer require, and a place for the volunteers to have community as well where they could serve the people that are shopping. It takes time, it takes energy, it takes effort. We at BFM Thrift Stores are there to help you along the way. We're there to guide you through the process.
