New and gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories as well as home goods and new furniture
Hello guys, If you have been following me for a long time, I remember that I went to a secondhand store for the first time in six or seven years to look for decoration articles. At that time I didn't have much money to build our apartment. I wanted it to feel really residential and decorate it nicely. So my budget was limited and I wanted to go to the secondhand store to see if there was something that I could maybe change or change into something else. That fits my style and makes our apartment at home. At that time I wasn't sure that secondhand items and the search for things that I couldn't make new for my home would be one of my favorite hobbies. And I did a lot of it. I filmed it and I shared it here on YouTube with you. We made so many funny videos and now it's not just about secondhand shops. There are so many other places where you can find really good secondhand items, I love it, going to flea markets. Household solutions. Always stick to household solutions in your near future. In addition, there are also Facebook Marketplace or even court sales during the so, no matter what your motivation is, to buy secondhand items or to find things from secondhand, whether it's a budget now, whether you just want to find unique or unique pieces, whether it's about buying secondhand items and visiting secondhand shops. I will give you all my tips and call you the articles, after which I specifically look for secondhand items that can be easily sold, and how I bring these articles home and turn them into something new. The first topic are lamps. I don't have any new lamps. All lamp pairs and individual pieces that I have are secondhand. I love it, looking at lamp in secondhand items, because I don'think they get a lot of attention. Therefore, I usually find really good ones there. I pay attention to the shape, because you can change a lamp Maybe you just need a new color, you can use a little spray color. Maybe it's perfect from below, but needs a new shim. Tip. It's really hard to find good shims in secondhand items. They crack and break quickly. The material doesn't wear the transport well. So if they are suspended and thrown around and carried around, they usually don't last long. Therefore it's even more difficult to find shims. Therefore I usually have to buy new ones. I have already taken a basket, Maybe it's the right shape, but you want to add a lot of structure. I even took a lamp that I found in secondhand stores, and it covered newspaper stripes, which was very strange. It had the perfect shape. I really wanted this shape. So I removed as much paper as possible and painted the surface with a spachtel mass, to give you a lot of structure. I lost something Then I lost even more structure, by adding my color salt, and so that the texture and the appearance of the lower part of the lamp has completely changed. I added a shim. I am absolutely thrilled by this lamp. That's a great project, and I leave the link to this video. If you want to bring an organic, modern style shim and this one to your house, you can raise a lamp and achieve this look. The second example is furniture. furniture, which has been transformed into milling. Change into other things or let them stand as furniture. There is furniture everywhere in secondhand stores, and a bigger goldgrub is Facebook Marketplace. On Facebook Marketplace you can find local furniture, which people want to get rid of at a great price. And furniture can be expected, that they have the perfect size for one, but maybe not the right surface. Maybe they need new designs. Maybe you have to work on the surface a little. It is covered with color, which you have done in all the DIY versions, which others have already done, has been applied everywhere. I have already changed many furniture, by simply changing the surface into the one I have changed the right style for me. I removed color layers and painted them, to lay the unbehandled wood free. I even painted bad wood, which really had no good quality, that I didn't sand off, that I had to really smooth it out. I have changed the pieces, but I love it even more, if I can fulfill a goal. I love it, to turn a good vintage or antique furniture into a vastic. I love this look in the bathroom. I love it, to bring a furniture I have an old buffet, which is wider, to work, to put two double-washed cups in our main bathroom, to bring the cottage down. I removed the plate and replaced it with granite, applied the water-paint, removed the drawer and changed the interior, that it is also suitable for the pipe lines. And the drawers were so rebuilt, that they still offer storage space. This special buffet had no great wood, so I couldn't sand it off. Therefore I used a wood- I also made that in our guest bathroom with an old photo cabinet. I found it for about $ 40 on the flea market. In the modern world today, we have no use for photos anymore. And the photo was gone. Only the closet. So I could remove the plate, replace it with granite, apply a water-paint and change the interior for the pipe lines. And it looks so nice. I also replaced the tray, because they only had small buttons. I added a few old tray and put this furniture piece in a beautifully milled. If you find pieces that you really They could actually be something completely new. N Secondhand materials Secondhand leather is a gold grout for materials. You don't just have to look at the actual product, that they look at, but also think about how you can use the individual elements. You can go to the department for bedsheets, curtains and other materials, where there are many boxes and everything possible. Because Secondhand leather has a lot of them. And you can simply use them as material. You can use it as material for new boxes, to re-use furniture and chairs. New curtains, smaller pieces, let these work. One of my favorite Secondhand actions, where I used something as material, was when I found a box with a large jengar in Secondhand. For example in yard sizes. So they were just these wooden blocks, and they were pretty light. I took them home and wanted to change them into something else, and not just in a toy or a game, that you play. So I used them as material, namely wood, and put them in a fish-gray pattern on each other, to make a tablet out of it. So I take something, that has nothing to do with interior design and nothing to do with a tablet, and just use it as an element. And I thought it was great, how this Secondhand version has become. In Secondhand leather there are a lot of porcelain esglises. I tend to use too much patterned porcelain in the form of t-shirts, plates and so on. Sometimes they are already broken in the shelves. I bought two plates, which I absolutely loved, opened the car door and one of the plates broke. He got out of the car and I couldn't separate myself from it. And I wanted to let something fall into me, which I could start with. Instead of throwing it away, as most people would do, I broke it into a lot of pieces and used them as mosaic tiles. You can use porcelain in this mosaic form for so many different things. I made vases out of it and found it so pretty. I actually simply put a glass vase with a tone and pressed the mosaic heine. You could make bricks out of it for the garden. You can make a table plate out of it, for example a garden table. You can somehow work it in hards. There are so many things you can use mosaic tiles for. Imagine porcelain N This is actually my favorite occupation in second-hand stores. Because if I'm the worst at the creative side of a second-hand store, I don't know what I'm going to find. I don't know what my creativity or my interest in it will bring or my attention. And so I just have the feeling that I'm very free to create everything I want. And because in second-hand stores everything is usually quite cheap, relatively price-worthy, do you have the freedom to do something unusual or extraordinary? And that with very low financial risk. It doesn't cost much if it doesn't work as you imagine. The creative freedom is huge for me in a second-hand store. In second-hand stores I have often seen things that we don't use anymore in the modern world. How I could find these objects and do something new, instead of throwing them away. I have always seen these Kodak carousels. The pictures on a kind of projector project a Kodak projector. Why should we use them? If we don't have a projector or our photos can'take them anymore? Because we now have our iPhones? I have destroyed them. I have turned them around. I thought about what you could do with it and in the middle was a hole. I knew that I could thread a lamp and turn it into a light. In addition, I could add some other elements to make it look more I found a wooden CD holder. Because we no longer have many CDs at the moment, I put it in a garden for my kitchen. He would put it on the window bench. I found large, round curtains for a curtain rod that I folded over and glued together. A vase with a real structure was created I even turned a diary into a planner. He read it in a smook- In Secondhand stores there are infinitely many possibilities and creativity. But you really have to force yourself to look out and see what can be done about the current state of something and how it can be useful in your own life. I do that with distance at my favorite in Secondhand stores. And n Sometimes you are in Secondhand stores and see something that is a good starting point. Maybe it's the size you want or the shape you want, but it's not completely yet. And all the other things you need are missing so that it fits perfectly into your home. I recently saw a big mirror that was really simple, with a big, curly frame, but it was too bad. For the great price he was a super base, although you had to improve some. I found a couch table on the flea market, which needed a new surface, and he had exactly the right curly shape and size for our living room. But he was missing the additional decoration, which I So I put on a decoration on top, they were painted in the same color, new and already it was the perfect complement for our living room. I just found a three-part mirror on the flea market, which was really easy. It had to be repaired, but in the end it was only the mirror part. And I had always seen myself in a colored, gold-colored cosmetic mirror. So I added a few wood applications and tools and painted everything in gold. When I finished the conversion, it hit me. I thought, oh my god, I can't believe that it looks so good. A used mirror socket was called a starting point. I even made a project for the bedroom of a friend. He had a commode that didn't feel And I thought, well, maybe we can evaluate it. Maybe I can do that, what you have, change it a little, that you really So I took a simple IKEA commode without any details, super modern, and added the front side of each drawer with finish and the same color tone, a somewhat optical structure. Then I added some more decorations. And that changed the look of the commode completely. The people loved it and loved it. Maybe it'something you already have and that you want to spend and replace. But you can also look at it differently and change it so that it meets your wishes and fits your further developed style. Because I have put a long way back in the last six to seven years. Even with my second-hand cosmetics projects, I know that I would probably do it differently today, if I would do it. Because my style has changed and my homework skills and my transition with different tools have improved. I would Thriftflips and what I would do differently today. So that's another idea for another video that I have. But hopefully this video gave you some ideas. Will your next visit to the second-hand shop, the flea market, the household solution or the court sale? Where you always buy your second-hand article, look at the article with other eyes and become really creative. If it's about where you can use it for. Or how you just use it as a material or even put something in your own home. So, comment what your favorite thriftflip is that you've ever made. I would You're so creative and I would be very happy about your ideas. So please comment what you've done, which materials you've used or what you've found in the second-hand shop.
