Back Porch Thrift Store

I'm Emma Martin, I'm the store manager at United Community Ministries back porch thrift store. We're at 8794 Sacramento Drive on Richmond We've just opened here July 26th. 100% of our clothes seats stay wit So it's, it is one of those profound ways to donate in your community and watch it grow and help others. We take donated materials from the community and turn it into income for a lot of our programs. Food pantry, basic needs, healthy families, healthcare, eviction prevention, c Richestments can come and also shop if they need a suit or a dress for that interview. We've got everyt And it was actually a Shakespearean play. To furnishings, to pianos, We have c If you want Christmas, I have Christmas decorations for anyone who needs wear outside, in the door, trees, lights, reeds. You name it, I've got it. And maybe two of it. We're getting some nice artwork. I enjoy dealing with both the donors and the people that come in and shop. They're always looking for those little odd finds or then you've got a family that you see them. It's a client of UCM and they're coming in looking for more of your housewares and your furniture. Maybe they've just moved into the area. Maybe they've lost everyt And they come in and they shop for the items that they need to rebuild that house, So we give them assistance with that at the main office on the way down. If it wasn't for the community and the church, it's getting the word out that they'll send your items to the back porch. And then also the shoppers, the people that come in, the legislative head shop, the sender donors that know that I've got some really nice t I want to help somebody else out.
