Scarab Body Arts

CNY's Premier Body Art Studio. SuperMedia Content Disclaimer: http://spag.es/hjh9DV

At Scarab Body Arts, we use a completely disposable set up. Everything is individually packaged, used once, and thrown out. Even our tattoo tubes that most studios destabilize and reuse, we dispose of after a single use. This ensures the safest possible method of tattooing. We currently have three tattoo artists, each with their own style. This ensures that no matter what you are looking to get done, we have someone that is perfect for the job. We also occasionally have guest artists visiting from all over the country offering their services as well. We also offer two piercers on site. We also offer the largest selection of body jewelry in Onondaga County.

My name is John Joyce. I own Scarab Body Arts and this coming August next month will be 10 years. Scarab and Syracuse are a good fit because n But also since the shop that I started in was in this area, that gave me kind of a built-in clientele when I opened up my own studio. I guess because of where we are located, Whereas here it's, Now most shops are even to this day. You walk in, there's flash all over the walls, there's different designs and the tattoo artists that work there don't really do custom work. So you end up doing the same butterfly or the same scorpion or the same whatever a million times. Here since we don't have flash designs, people have to put a little more thought into it. They have to have a general idea of what they want. My vision for Scarab is a place where people from all walks of life instead of just that person that you would normally attribute to a tattoo shop. So I mean, we cater to the 18 year olds just getting their first tattoo or their first piercing and then we have the grandmothers and the grandfathers coming in and we have everybody in between. We had a client and we still have a client. He was actually voluntarily castrated and he wanted a tattoo to kind of memorialize it. So he got a dagger that had some fancy filigree stuff on the blade and then in the handle or the hilt of the dagger, he had the word eunuch put in that. So we definitely, it was a fun piece.
