My name is Jason Kandel. I work and operate artwork rebels tattoo in Portland, Oregon. Well getting tattooed when I turned 18 was what initially sparked my interest. After that I was just thought it was the coolest thing in the world. Getting tattooed and being in the shop, just seeing all the tattoos. So from there I kind of knew I wanted to do it. But it still was pretty hard to get into back then. Have I ever felt I mean it's a newer thing, tattoos being a little more accepted today than they have been back even 20 years ago or 22 years ago or something. When I started getting tattooed, yeah, I mean people with tattoos were looked upon very differently. What keeps me motivated to come into work every day is just to get better, to challenge myself, to learn more. One of my main sort of mantras in life is sort of not how much I can learn or how much I can do over a course of a year or two, but a couple decades. Thank you.
