The Lowrider crew have taken to Japan, France, London, Rome, Africa, Mexico, Australia and Brazil. They strive to travel to different places in this endless search to grow and learn more. It brings a lot of joy to be in the company of all the great people they have met and the places they have stayed at. Lowrider Tattoo has earned over 150 awards worldwide and continues to excel with the help and support of all their fans and true tattoo collectors. Recognized internationally as one of the best tattoo studios in the world, Lowrider Tattoo has made their mark-literally. They've received international acclaim from magazines worldwide and their work speaks for itself.
For me, tattooing and drawing images that depict my heritage is something that makes me pay more importance to the work that I'm doing. It just gives me a sense of pride. My name is Jose Lopez and I'm the founder of Loretta Tattoo Studios. I grew up in Santa Ana, California, a very simple part of town. My family is everything to me. One thing that I've never lost is having their support. We know how it was being there for me. During my high school years, I lost the ability to walk. I was very quiet. I was very self-conscious. And there was so much that I didn't say. That's when I started to draw a little bit more. There was a magazine called Loretta Art Magazine. They had this contest and I decided to send my drawing send. I was the one that ended up winning that contest. When that happened, I felt One day while visiting a friend, I saw that his father was tattooing and made me want to try it. So I decided to tattoo myself and I ended up doing my wife's thing. I started to work on my friends. And then that led to the word spreading and other clients started coming. My art is all about storytelling and my Hispanic background. It's a great influence in what I do. And it has to do with where I come from. We reach customers online from all over the world. And about a quarter of that traffic comes from Google. Our business profile helps people find us on Google search and maps. Customer searching for tattoo shops online can see photos of our work and come check us out. And the reviews are very crucial to their decision making. With every technology, you need to keep up. You need to keep learning it to grow your brand. At this moment, we have three shops. The newest one in Beijing. Another one in London. And our main studio here in California. That was my dream to open shops in different countries. Together we have made a big influence in the industry. Every morning I wake up, I wonder, who am I going to sit down with? What sort of story am I going to hear? It's what I love the most about being a tattoo artist.
