Naked Art Tattoos

I started back in 99, getting out of the Navy, in Monterey. Went over to Create a Visions, talked to Margie, Margie Carode, and luckily she loved me Starter. Got to do about three to five days a week back then, and it was very much a learn as you go kind of experience. Back then I stupidly thought you could just do it. But it was a way to make money, provide for a new family, and still do artwork. Music People think that they should come in with a perfectly figured out design. The problem is, is then you're the artist, and if you're not the artist, then you're not getting artistic. Something very artistic, you're getting something that you've figured out. I would never go to a tattooist and ask him to do something I drew or designed. I can do that myself. Music When a client comes in, the best thing they can do is have multiple ideas of what they Not necessarily specific tattoos they've seen, because all that does is force you to explain that you're not going to copy some of the work. You'll have ideas, have some type of goal that they're going to achieve. But not come in with the finished thing, because then you're missing out on the whole point. It's not the destination, it's the journey to get there. It's the same thing on the tattoo. Otherwise, you just, a symbol monkey can fill in a small congee. A small congee can be amazing for that person. It just depends on what you're looking for. Music That one's the light and you can't shoot me. Music I hate when I hear other artists say, oh, Nana, this is my best tattoo. That's the greatest tattoo. How's that your greatest tattoo? I don't want to get your next tattoo if that's your greatest tattoo. Especially when it's a 5 year old piece. Good job. What did you do for the rest of those guys? I don't rest on my laurels.
