My name is Tim Hendricks and this is Classic Tattoo. It's located in the heart of Fullerton. Cradle of Right in the Old Town area or right across the street in the Old Fox Theater, where I believe that an Academy Award ceremony was filmed at a long time ago. This shop has been here since 1989. It's the first tattoo shop in Fullerton and it's one of the original tattoo shops in Orange County. The guy named Charlie Moore opened it and he sold it to Eric Mosky later on in the early 2000s. Eric passed away in 2004 and his dad, Dave Mosky, ran it for about 10, 11 years before selling it to me and actually almost selling it to me. He passed away right before he sold it to me and then I ended up buying it from the family from Eric's aunt and spent the last three years of my life fixing it up and giving it as much tender love and care as I can. The great thing about Classic is that even though it's based on a traditional style, more of a Maricana traditional, everybody here can do anything. And we have such a diverse group of guys. We have guys doing authentic, traditional, Maricana style. We have a guy doing as real as neighborhood Chicano black and gray art can get. It doesn't get any more OG than that. I mean, we pretty much do everything there. I plan to keep this shop running as long as I live and I plan to run it the same way. It's always been ran. And if I die, I'm going to make sure it goes to somebody that cares about it just as much as I do and just as much as everyone before me did. And whether that be my son or whether it be somebody else, I don't know, my son may not want a tattoo, but I'll make sure it goes to good hands. Right now I'm just the caretaker of this place for my life and I'll pass it on to the right person. So I walked into this shop when I was a teenager and got my first professional tattoo by Big Frank and this was the shop. I mean, this was the place. I tried to get a job here years later and Eric wouldn't hire me. I was not a great tattooer I wouldn't have hired me as well. But if you would have told me back then when I first walked in here to get that tattoo that someday I'd own this place, I probably would have had a heart attack because I just there's no way that I would ever imagine that. So for all young kids out there, dreams do come true as long as you work hard. Get them.
