I got my first earlobe pierced when I was 10 years old probably. I was in music engineering. I was going to be an engineer and started working at a tattoo shop part-time just to make a little bit of extra money during school. But not all artists and piercers get into the business for the same reason. I actually left for a little while and went and did some other things like I ran sound, various venues around town and worked in h That did not last long. Perp to me is being able to actually be who I am. I don't have to dress up in a suit and tie. I can wear my sept I can show off my tattoos. It gives, I mean, nobody cares, And what may seem unusual is actually normal at Icon. I tattooed a dinosaur on somebody'skull a few weeks ago. On the top of their head? Actually, just right here. It was a big bony dinosaur skeleton. Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I got thrown up one time. That was pretty awful. So what is it Now, women can be tattoo artists and be respectable. It's not as much of a men's game, but it'still fun to be kind of the minority in it. Yeah, they just give me crazy looks, And it's just, Like up here, It's not a nine to five, but for these artists, that's the beauty of it. They wouldn't have it any other way. So it can be intimidating, but it's also really fun for the adrenaline junkies. They're just part of me.
