So I have just a little something to say regarding the apprentice situation with Matt Vaughn. And I know this video probably isn't going to affect too much because in the end there's nothing worse than a self-entitled idiot that thinks they know everything. And there seems to be quite a few of those in this scenario so before I even begin, go ahead and talk you shit. Doesn't change facts. Alright so first of all I want to start off by establishing that I paid for my apprenticeship. Over $2,000 is a matter of fact. And no, I did not earn a single dime the entire time I was apprentice. This is kind of why I had a second job to begin with because But secondly, let me ask you a question. Coming from a tattoo artist's perspective, why would we teach you a trade, which is essentially what you're asking us to do. Teach you a trade for free n But aside from that, why would we pay you to teach you? Is that making sense in your head? Yeah, you might be used to getting everything you want or having mommy and daddy around to bail you out, but in this industry you're not entitled to shit. And you are so lucky that you didn't apprentice back in my day because if you did, you'd be on your hands and knees scrubbing toilets with toothbrushes. But again, this is something that we all had to do. Every tattoo artist has had to pay their dues. It shows that you can handle pressure not to mention the fact that you're showing respect for the industry by doing it in a shop. Now, going back to the whole getting paid for a second, the money that you invest in your apprenticeship goes toward getting you a machine, equipment to use, and inks. So essentially the artist's training you is not even receiving any major cut for taking a year or two out of their lives simply to teach you the tricks of the trade. And if you so happen to be a person that isn't level headed or entitled to everything, that makes their job twice as hard. But to redirect a statement mentioned in this bullshit, no, there is not one illegal thing about practicing apprentices not receiving a pay cut. Hate to burst your bubble, but next time before spewing the first ignorant thought that comes to mind, you might want to actually do some research and save yourself the embarrassment. Thanks!
