Custom tattoos at kickass prices
Here at Honolulu Beerworks, we have partnered with local artists from 808 Tattoo to bring you our Liquid Art series. Each artist's custom design can label for this bright pale ale. In turn, we will take up a local arts nonprofit focused on promoting artists in Hawaii. Hi, I'm Peggy Whitney, tattoo artist and co-owner of 808 Tattoo. I first started making art when I was a kid, really. It's just, I can't even remember. I started tattooing about 15 years ago. I appreciate all kinds of art. I started out as a painter and I drew, I did sculpture. I studied fine art. I went to college for it and I always wanted to be a tattooer. We get all kinds of people nowadays. Everyone's getting tattooed, so it's pretty cool. Here in Hawaii, you do get a lot of families coming in together to get tattooed and it's really fun. My husband opened this shop, I believe in, I want to say 2004. I thought it would be really fun to have some art on beer cans and to be part of the community.
