My name is Sydney Bergdorf and I own Speakeasy Tattoo. So I grew up in Florida with my grandparents and my granddad was always into just a different art form almost every month. You know, he played almost every single instr And from there I got into cartooning. I watched a lot of cartoons. But for my own personal style, I love that illustrative, cartoony, I don't know, just quirky. I like quirky, I really also love doing traditional, American traditional and Japanese traditional tattoos. They're just, they're fun. I really Rocko's Modern Life is one of my absolute favorites. Courage a Cowardly Dog for sure. You can definitely tell that a lot of my artwork has influenced from there. I've been drawing since I could, yeah, I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil, to be honest. It kind of fell into my lap a little bit, actually, and I'm really happy about it. I was teaching at the college and a student came up to ask me a question and saw that I was doodling and was And I was And he was And I was I could never stab people all day. I jokingly mentioned it to my tattoo artist at the time, her name is Sierra in Pensacola. And she was And I was And she was I just, we're, we have a spot for apprenticing if you want to, And I was So my first tattoo, I actually, I did it one of my very good friends. She is a blessing to me, honestly. She was like, I want your first tattoo so that I can get whatever you did, And then I can show people the progress. And I'm I threw up during her tattoo. Yeah, I was so stressed. I didn'throw up on her. I had to go, I had to run to the bathroom. But yeah, I was that stressed out. Then the next time I was really, really stressed out for a tattoo was when I was freehanding my first tattoo because the stencil wasn't working. The guy wanted it on his elbow and it was my first freehand. And I was And the whole time I'm sweating. I'm But it turned out really good and I was really proud of it. And since then I've done four freehand tattoos and I've been really happy with them. Tonight we are doing a dance class with Ora Figueroa and I am super excited. We're doing Salsa and Mambo. Speakeasy Tattoo is not just only for people to experience art here. It is also for artists to come and create. So we are always looking for artists of any kind, specifically tattoo artists right now. But any artist to come utilize the space we have, we have a great space. So I have more plans for live music at least once a week. I have more plans for dancing. I'm actually talking to someone who does hip hop dancing too. And so we're going to have more variety with that. I am working with someone at the art school, the art academy. And we're in the talks of how can we bring something to the kids. Because that's really important to me. It's important to me to offer somewhere for all ages because not everybody has the ability to pay for a babysitter or get away from their children. And I think it'still important for them to be able to come to dance, to be able to go to an art class, to be able to get a tattoo even. My goal for Speakeasy Tattoo is for it to be a creative hub for the community. So yes, we do tattoos. But more than that, we do dance classes. We do live music. I really want to start doing art classes for kids and adults if they want it. But I just want it to be somewhere Because that's important to me. I feel Nowadays tattoos are an expression of yourself sometimes. They don't have to be. But most of the times they are. And everyone is unique in their own way. So it's very important to me to give someone a tattoo that is in line with that. So if they come in and they want to get one of the cat tattoos, for instance, we talked about what kinds of styles he's into. He pointed out a tattoo that I've done in the past that he So we had a few different mock-ups and we ended up on this one that I think is a perfect representation of what you Yeah.
