Established in 2013 by Matt Carmer, Dark Horse Tattoo Parlor exists as a tribute to the artists and tradition of tattooing in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
My name is Brian Burke, name of my shop is Dark Horse Tattoo. I mean I would say that he changed the tattoo world in the way that he took a lot of different things, kind of pieces that were out there. You can sort of make your own way with it and not kind of have to follow I think probably more than anything like if I could somewhat about it just say hard work that he probably works harder and did the same thing and I think he looked at sort of a kind of pre what Ed did he sort of looked at American tattooing and the other times of tattooing he could see which are primarily Japanese tattooing sort of brought them all together and tried to do his own thing with it and kind of take the best pieces from everything and say Right now motorcycles probably It's a small shop there are three people that work there. We take walk-ins, we do mostly appointments. It'sort of in progress as the one owner it kind of takes a long time to do all the stuff you want to do. It was kind of beat up when I got it so I had to do a lot of work and we're still working on it. But the main thing about my shop is we try to just make it comfortable for anybody that wants to get a tattoo without any kind of attitude or any kind of weirdness or posturing. .
