Iron Bette opened in August of 2013, and although a bit tucked away (located across from the DMV in the Diagonal Plaza Mall), it’s worth checking out if just to see Brad’s eye-catching sculptures and paintings that decorate the shop. But that’s not the only reason to seek out Iron Bette—you will be warmly greeted by Brad and his fellow tattooist, Daisy, both of whom emit an immediate sense that they are not only quite skilled in the art of tattoo, but also incredibly passionate and dedicated to the craft. “I saw tattooing as a platform where I could be commissioned to create fine works of art,” says Brad. “It’s incredibly rewarding to work with another person to bring their vision to life on their body.” Just flipping through his portfolio, you will certainly see how apt Brad is at bringing those visions to life.
