The mission of The Cultured & The Cured is to provide a comfortable, approachable environment to sell fine cheese, charcuterie, and specialty dry goods in the heart of East Sacramento. When we receive an ABC license, we will also sell beer and wine. The items we will carry are concentrated on the resurgence of farm to fork products focusing on West Coast cheeses, charcuterie, wine and micro brews. Headed by Chef/Owner and now dedicated Cheesemonger Andrew Hillman, our cheese and charcuterie will be cut fresh to order. Our customers then can choose to enjoy their purchase at home or right at the store as we will also have a small seating area and small plate menu featuring our products. As SLOW FOOD members, our goal will be to earn the Snail of Approval as a service providing fresh, local and organic products. Chef Andrew is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). Chef Andrew and wife, co-owner Kelly Heath, are also students of The Cheese School of San Francisco.
