Maggie's General Store is an organic, whole foods market and old time country store. Our goal is to provide all-organic food, supplements and home goods.
We are a, not only a health food store, but we are an organic market for fresh produce. It's organic as well as some of it is local. And we try to cater to people with eating intolerances such as A lot of our stuff is vegan as well as gluten free. So that's kind of what we try to capture as far as our products that are not produced. The people down here are just a special kind of go-getter and I feel And so when it came to opening a store on the peninsula, it's And it just really helped complete kind of what we wanted for the store knowing that were doing it surrounded by people who are It's a challenge reaching out to people who don't necessarily live a stone's throw away. Say they live in Homer, Moose Pass, Cooper Landing is how do we connect with them and let them know what can we provide for them as a service. So as far as letting them know what we have and that they can call us, they can text us, hey, what do you have right now and I need this? Can you get it for me? Hey, we got this in. We thought you would love it. Can I hold you in behind the counter when you come down next month? Well, their previous provider is just really difficult to find good customer service because as a small business, our customer base is the community, is the one-to-one relationship that we get to have with our customers. So as a small business and as a customer as well of our previous provider, we didn't find that. And so it was kind of frustrating to call a 1-800-someone-please-answer-the-phone and you don't know who you're talking to and no local office. So that was pretty frustrating. The GCI team made switching over pretty painless. I don'think we had any disruption of services. It would just went right from one to the other and we didn't notice any break in our internet, any weird things with the phone. It was just pretty much as seamless as we could have expected it to be.
