Vandals struck overnight in Kapolei, robbing and looting several businesses. This is a surveillance video from inside one of the stores. You can see the suspect going through this nail salon before taking off. And those suspects left quite a mess behind. KITV for Shanila Kabir joins us live. Shanila, you spent the morning there at the scene with owners, employees and everyone else affected. Yes, Rick. It was a long day for the business owners at Kapolei Marketplace. The business owners and the owners were in and out, boarding up the broken doors and cleaning up last night's mess. Five or six people around 3am last night vandalized three businesses. Two of them were broken into and robbed, and company and hot pot heaven. Both owners say their cash registers were taken. Neither could give a definite n And the third store, garden nailed, was vandalized, but nothing was taken. Based on the evidence, the property manager, Cindy Lau, said she believes the suspects used the large rocks sitting right outside the stores to commit the crime. Workers removed the rocks this morning. And as the investigation continues, Cindy Lau also says they have a few leads including surveillance footage of a car pulling into the parking lot during the time of the crime. It never happened before at this area, especially at Hawaii. It'supposed to be a peaceful place to live. But right now the caramory is going up every day. Yeah, I have no idea. And then right now it'still pandemic. Everybody is going, expect to be a restaurant business. Yeah. Again, there are a few leads, but nothing is confirmed right now. And despite this, some of the owners said business didn't miss a beat today. Pinfang Cald, the owner at Garden Nail said neither she or her customers were phased by this crime.
