The Country Club Plaza’s Season of Lights is a treasured Kansas City tradition that launches the holiday season. We are honored to present the Plaza Lighting ceremony each year on Thanksgiving evening through mid-January.
We are excited to engage with customers, fans, followers and viewers in our social media channels during the holiday season. These are temporary channels that are only active from late-October to mid-January. Hi, I'm Tim Bergerhoffer, KCPL Command on the Street. Today I'm joined by Daryl Marmon from Mald Fireworks. He'll tell us a bit about what goes into the fireworks at the KCPL Plaza Lights. These are a single shot device. They're had its own mortar and this is actually what's called a bomb bet. It's This is a module. Everything we shoot down there is fired by a computer. The computer knows each module is addressed to a certain n This is the actual what the computer screen looks We can actually see what's being fired at the time that it'supposed to being fired. For the Plaza itself, behind the stage and this up to the right is for the Intercontinental Hotel. There's a lot of precision in making the fireworks. The fireworks we use down for the KCPL show is nothing but all American made pyrotechnics. The American made are a lot more precision and precise in timing, color and almost literally debris free.
