My name is Tom and today I'm taking a look at one of the oldest and most successful shopping malls in New Jersey. The Mall Park Mall in Edison, New Jersey. And yes, the shopping mall takes the name of the original laboratory of Thomas Edison in the Mall Park, which is right there on the corner. I didn't really look for the mall before coming there, so I was shocked and excited to see that it still has a coffee shop outside. South. From Connecticut, I think our last coffee shop closed around 2013. Wow, I know that the food is not amazing, but the atmosphere always made me feel Unfortunately, I was with a schedule and I didn't have time to stop and lunch, but now that I know that it exists, Intend to come back again at some point this year and I hope to make the video more detailed of the place and also eat something. They have a huge animatronic snake on the ceiling. They have birds and, if I remember correctly, in the background I think they also have macacos on the ceiling, birds singing and all kinds of things. It's And here in the front they have a jacaru00e9. I don't know, I just love it. I'm sure some people hate it, but I love this kind of thing. I would And don't forget, if you liked this video, please leave a thumbs up, subscribe to my channel, I have a lot more videos of the mall soon. Thank you. And here's the menu for those who can read very quickly, or just click pause and you can read this way. All right, now a little bit of the shopping story. The original version of this shopping, which in most parts no longer exists, was developed by Abraham and Sigmund Sammer and inaugurated in 1959 as an open-air shopping mall called Menlo Park Shopping Center. It was only received the name Menlo Park Mall when it was completely closed, between 1966 and 1967. Some of the original anchor stores were in the Bamburgers, which is where Macy's is today. The JCPNA, which changed to the Urdi Brede Center Mall in 1982, the U. Orphys and the Montegomeri Wall. Some other old stores were the Safeway, the Valgrins and the Tom Maccan, just to quote some. For what I know, besides the Macy's building behind me, the shopping you saw today did not even exist before being almost completely rebuilt, around 1990 to 1991. The original shopping had a tally, the second coast was very dark, it had a very highlighted yellow, orange, black and white, without any white and just some windows with solar protection along the roof. For what I know, in 1988, the shopping was described as empty and impassable in the state of conservation. There were signs of closing trade everywhere, several empty stores and, apparently, the only reason why most people went to shopping was to see Macy's. As a result, in 1988, the shopping was sold by Chase Investors Management Corp. , New York for the Shopping Center Association. The original plan was to reform the existing shopping and add a second walk. However, it ended up being decided that it would make more sense to demolish the old shopping, except Macy's, and build a completely new shopping, which is what you see today. As some of you may have guessed, the shopping is currently owned by Simon. I think Simon bought the shopping around 1996, but that did not become very clear online, so, if I'm wrong, please let me know in the comments. The current shopping, which was designed by R. T. K. L. and Associates of Texas, cost about $ 100 million and, as I mentioned, was built between 1990 and 1991. During the construction, all shops in the shopping, except Macy's in the Angarden arcade, closed. I believe that one of the banks has also been moved to a temporary place in the parking lot during the construction, but I'm not sure about that. As you can see, the reform was worth the time and money, I think, because the result was very spectacular, especially at that time. Everything you see here did not exist before 1990. I think the current shopping is on top of where the old one used to be, at least to a certain point. Here is a picture of how a new shopping was Some of the highlights of the new shopping were the sparkles, the roofs in Cu00fapula, the Marmoree and, at a certain time, trees, bridges and sculptures. They also added new parking garages, a cinema with 12 screens called Cineplex O'Don and a food court with a miniature forest in the center. The castles imported from Terrazo and more sculptures. Unfortunately, the sources, trees and sculptures were removed in 2015 during another shopping reform, and I think most of you will probably agree that this reform was a great reduction, at least in terms of appearance. Imagine that they probably did this to reduce maintenance costs and also the safety costs. I found this a little funny, this mini mart here is called shopping stop-end. And as some of you may know, there is a large supermarket chain in the northeast called Stop-end Shop. And I know that the names are technically not the same, but it seems close enough for me to think that the supermarket Stop-end Shop may have a problem with that, especially because they have 47 stores Stop-end Shop in Nova Gu00e9rcei. So, it's not This video was filmed on a Tuesday between 15 and 16 hours. And as you can see, the shopping is well-moved. It is not the most moving shopping in the world, but it is reasonably moving, mainly for a Tuesday between 15 and 16 hours. In addition, I haven't seen many empty stores. In fact, I can't remember any, and there are no anchor stores. So, in general, the shopping seems to be going very well. Now, if this is the shopping of your city or if you've been here before, let me know what you think in the comments. And if you have any other theory about the reason for being going so well, please let me know. Now, next, I think that's what they call the central square. And before 2015, there was a huge spectacular drink here, right in front of this elevator. And, based on the appearance of this photo, this is probably one of the most spectacular drinks I've ever seen. And the fact that they have been removed, this is something that makes me very sad. I've said this many times, but one of the things that I miss the most about the 80s and 90s is the drinks, the trees and the bushes. They also add a lot to shopping, just And now I can understand why they would remove the drinker because of the civil responsibility issues. But why would you remove the trees? I can'think of any maintenance costs and they are not exactly dangerous. So, I just don't know why they would remove these trees. I think the shop also had a drinker here, but I'm not sure because I couldn't find any pictures of him online. I don't know why they would remove these trees. And they have apple store. A comment that appeared a few times in my section of shopping video comments is that some people said that if a shop has an Apple store, it must be going very well. And I kind of agree with that because I can't remember any shopping that I had already been dead or dead and had an Apple store. So this is your Apple store and, therefore, this shopping is not dead. Everything is fine. So, right in front of where this Nordstrom store is today is where one of the original Ankur stores, Montygomer Ward, was located from 1960 to 1972, when it became alexander. Alexander closed at some point before 1990. I'm not sure exactly when. So, Nordstrom opened as part of the new shop in 1991. It's hot. It's hot. I think so. It's hot. Now I have to say that I really They are very impressive. It's hot. It's hot. I almost felt It's hot. It's hot. My God, this is the slowest elevator I've ever entered. The hall. And the sounds. They still disappeared. It's hot. It's faster when it comes out. It's hot. As I mentioned, I used to see a mini forest in the center of this food square. And I think I can understand why they removed it, because this would have freed a lot of space for tables and chairs. So, it makes sense, but still, it would be nice to have a small forest here today. It's hot. With license. It's hot. It's hot. Happy speech. It's hot. What profession? A profession. It's coming. It's hot. It's hot. There's no reason to go up there. It's hot. It's not much. It's hot. Inside the mall, but there's no place left. As usual, I'll take a walk around the mall and see how it is outside. But, in general, I would say that this mall seems to be going very well. It seems cool and Intend to go back to this coffee house one day. But it's better not to close before going back. It's hot. It's fine. It was there that I entered the mall, near the rainforest and coffee, on the right. And here, on the left, this is the AMC cinema, which was the Cineplex O'Don when the mall was reopened in 1991. I'm not sure when it became the AMC. I think this is one of the parking lots that was added during the 1990 shopping reform. Here is the Nordstrons, which was added in 1991. As I mentioned before, it was the Mount Gomerie World and then the Alexander's. I think the original building that was built by Alexander and the Mount Gomerie World was demolished in 1990. I'm almost sure of that. If I'm wrong, let me know. I think that everything, except the AMC, on the other end of the building, has been new since 1991. The problem with all these parking lots around the mall is that it's hard to find the main entrance. Honestly, I don't know where to go. I definitely didn't enter the main entrance. I think I basically entered through the back door. So, if anyone could tell me where the main entrance of this mall is, please let me know. And there is the Maces' building. It's Maces since 1986. And before that, it was the Bamburgers. And I think you will agree that it looks very different from the rest of the shopping. It seems to have been built in the early 1980s. And I think you will agree that it looks very different from the rest of the shopping. It seems to have been built in 1959, instead of 1991. And there it is. This is Low Park Mall in Edson, New Jersey. I hope you enjoyed the video. If you did, please leave a thumbs up, subscribe to my channel, I will have much more shopping videos soon, as well as visits to shops and marketplaces. So,
