To provide a center for festive activities and a place for families to gather creating a great sense of community, and providing a place to visit with friends and neighbors. To promote Yorktown as an arts destination, to increase awareness of high quality art, and support the regional arts community. To create and stimulate economic development/strength and preservation/viability of our local farming community.
So we are once again at the Yorktown Market Fair, March 22nd, 2025 with none other than Goober the Traveling Bear. Alright, let'see what kind of fun we can get into today as we visit the Market Fair. A memoir, and it starts from the decision making process about a good 20 years ago and brings us up to date with all the trials and tribulations and mishaps. And t Well, that's my alter ego there I t Alright. It's not me. I know it's not you, you, but so that is the book from the fairy tales to nightmares, my path to drinking wine every night. Wow. And Goober the Traveling Bear is here at And we have a shopping list that Lisa has given me. So, Goober, let's get some, let's buy some wine. Holy cow, Goober found another winery and of course it's Zoll winery and Goober just loves the cranberry pie wine that's right here. And the blueberry. So, Goober the Traveling Bear is once again here checking out the wineries at the York Town Market Days. Wave. Anything you'd It's a great place to come out. We've got a great friendly staff, all the food's amazing. We've got a big selection of wine to try from. I'm pretty sure you'll find somet Alright. And Goober the Traveling Bear says it's to pause up. Well, you never know what you might find at York Town Market Days. And we have some wind out here. Hopefully the dead cat will hold up. And there's a lot to see and buy and here at the York Town Market Days. Well, the York Town Market Days is really, t Next week it starts spring. And of course, some glossure across the river. We'll be having the Daffodil Festival April 5th weekend, I t So there's a lot going on here t We'real early and it's already bristling with business. And Goober's purchased quite a bit of wine already. Well, here at the York Town Market Fair they even have luxury liners pulling up to do some shopping. Quite amazing. Now across the river is the site of the Battle of the Hook. And of course Scoots Barbecue is directly across the river. Hey, where is your winery located? We're over in Surrey County, w And is it true you have the world's largest goat tower? Absolutely true. If you're going to build one, you might as well do somet It is an incredible feat to see that goat and the goats climb up. The goats live in that tower year round.
