A drink is alive. My name is Mashaia Baldwin and I am the co-founder of Behind the Wood Beverage Consulting Company. I am Scott Scafidi, co-founder of Behind the Wood. Behind the Wood is a beverage consulting company and we specialize in training staff, creating new and interesting cocktail menus, making house syrups and infusions. We can do everything from help redesign your bar, basically creating an all-inclusive bar program for a new or an established restaurant or bar. We both always loved cocktails. We love hospitality. We love the art of creating things from scratch. My mom has always been a baker and for me creating cocktails has always been So Behind the Wood was really a concept that was Method and technique is something that we take very seriously. We have an entire training manual. We call it our bar compendi So every bartender in an establishment will be making the drink exactly the same way every single time. Consistency is a key factor in creating cocktails and making sure you're establishing trust with the guests. But I'm actually listening for the cocktail to be done. I'm listening for the ice to break down. I'm listening for those little notes so I can know, oh, this cocktail is ready. It's like you would time a cake if you're baking it in the oven for, It's the same thing when you're shaking a cocktail to perfection. We look at all of these ingredients in the bar, not as We're all about creating the best product in the beverage world for our clients and we love what we do.
