DC VegFest

Hi, I'm Rebecca from Y Right? It's her. And I happen to meet Elena because I'm in the DC area and I came to Judge's Bench, w And Elena's done a great job having all kinds of vegan options here as part of her work with Vegan Outreach. And I wanted to hear a little bit about your role with DC VegFest and tell us about the event. How it involved? Definitely. Well the event's going to be on September 28th and it's at Yards Park in Southeast DC right by the National Fall Park. So it's an awesome waterfront view. It's a really beautiful place to spend some time. Hopefully the weather will be perfect. And we're going to have amazing speakers, Rich Roll, Dan and Ann Shannon from Meet the Shannon. The Betty Goes Vegan Cookbook are going to be there doing a food demo. We have a record four cooking demos t So if you want to learn about vegan cooking, come to VegFest. Eat to 10,000 people, tons of vegan food, tons of free samples. We're going to have a kids area and a beer and wine garden. Wow. Somet And yeah, Compassionary Killing Run is the event. We have tons of amazing sponsors, volunteers. We love to get new volunteers to come out for the day. There's also activities being done before the day.
