Basically if you look here, when trees are rotting the bark just comes straight off, but that's Birch Bark where it's too rotted, whereas if you see here, a nice piece of bark here which I might use for doing something, so I'm going to pop this in a bag and take this. Well I'm walking around looking for Birch trees, I just thought I'd say make sure you're on common land and you're allowed to take wood and stuff away from it. Obviously if it's private property get the owner's permission because sometimes they don't want you to take away wood because it's obviously a habitat for bugs and creeper-cawly things. Never cut a bark off a living tree, so I'm just looking for branches that have fallen off the floor and that have rotted slightly because then the middle just falls off and you end up with So there are mainly oak trees around here and I have picked up a few acorns. I've got acorns in my garden so I don't need that many but there's one bunch there. If I look on the ground, see if there's any branches falling off and there isn't. So Lexi's getting a good walk so she's happy and I'll find some wood. This might be harder than I think. It's I'll try and break it so I can get it off. Cool, I finally found some, it's just Paper's here so I'll take some of this. Excuse me bugs. This is so cool. Finally, finally found some. Oh that's a bit on the floor. Perfect, have that, thank you. Oh it's morning. Oh no it's a big bit. Definitely having that piece. It's all curled here. Perfect, I don't know what I'll use that for but I'll take it. I think that'll do, I'm only going to make two or three candle holders Then I just found this one which I think they've just cut down so that's definitely not ready to take away. So when I found that fallen down tree in the woods I asked my dad to go back and cut me some pieces off with his chainsaw and this is what I asked him to make, it's not finished yet because he hasn't drilled the top hole out yet but you can make really cute candle holders for a display. So I've got them here on my half with my p I bought these coloured heather plants, they were u00a32. 50 each or u00a35. 10 from home base so I got five, I got four orange ones and a one purple one which I've put in my hanging basket which I'm going to hang back up and I found this old terracotta pot you can see how old this is, it's moldy in my shed and I've just potted that up with one of these in and then this pot, I'm going to put the other three in but I'm going to hot glue the bark that I found around the outside of this pot so I'm just going to do that now. So here is what the flower pot looks And yeah I really like it, I think it looks really cool I've put the coloured heather in there with the orange, it's not dead, it's been coloured that colour yeah this is my aut Another item you can collect from Nature is pine cones and here what I've done is just get a bowl, I love a nice glass, big glass bowl I've got these fake leaves that I got off eBay and then put a yank candle in the middle and filled it with pine cones and there you go, another cheap and easy home decor item from Nature.
