So a couple months ago, Shea Terra actually reached out to me to see if I'd be interested in reviewing their product and trying it out. And I actually did a little bit of research before saying yes. I wanted to make sure that it was a product that I could get on board with and it would beneficial to me as well as being beneficial to One thing that I really So it's a really good price point and it is 100% natural. So here is the skinny. This guy is great for all skin types. I was really hesitant, usually deep, poor cleansers and things that can be stripping of the skin can also leave you really, really dry and I didn't get that effect when I used this on my skin. I have combination dehydrated skin and it does get congested because of the poor air quality in Los Angeles and because of all of the different makeup products that I'm constantly trying. After using this one time, I could immediately see the difference and the clarity in my skin. Here's what you need to know. Even though this cleanser is black, there's absolutely no charcoal in it at all. People are creating black soap in West Africa by taking plantain peels, cacao pods and herbs and then turning them into ashes and then adding in nutritive oils This cleanser is 100% natural and cruelty free as well. Here's how it works. Genuine African black soap works by eating away that dead seb It also works by killing off bacteria that causes blemishes and acne and it's perfect for if you shave your face. It's going to help prevent ingrown hairs as well as calm down those razor b This formula actually contains wild rose hip oil. This is really great for kind offsetting that exfoliation and giving your skin the kind of those essential nutrient fatty acid oils that your skin needs and wants and loves. It's pretty straightforward to use. You actually just get your face wet, apply a thin layer all over and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. I'm going to warn you though, if you have sensitive skin it is going to tingle. Here's my conclusion. So I've been using this cleanser for about 2 months now and I've been using it actually once a week. If you have more sensitive combination, drier skin once a week should be good for you and I do find that it actually is really beneficial. That helps clear out that complexion. I noticed that my pores are less congested, that my skin is brighter, makeup goes on better and overall my complexion just looks more radiant. If you have more oily skin or you are constantly shaving your face then you can definitely use this cleanser more often. I'd say it's even great for people dealing with adult acne or regular acne using it as kind of a special treatment to keep that area in check. If you have extremely oily skin and you want just a little bit more you can actually mix a little bit of an organic sugar into the mix just to get kind of that granule exfoliator as well. But I will say that I get enough just by itself.
