Mentored by his uncle, owner and veteran Mike McKim found enjoyment in the roasting process and quickly realized that his product was in great demand. Soon, Cuvée Coffee was being credited as the pioneer of specialty coffee in Texas. Today, Cuvée Coffee is planted in the sprawling hills and dense cedar of Austin, Texas. Cuvée is widely considered one of the nations finest craft coffee companies--a label due in part to its commitment to empowering its employees and inspiring individuals. Cuvée is also trusted for its commitment to sourcing quality beans from passionate farmers and building long-term partnerships. Mike has always been a different dr I mean he'somebody that had a vision for how coffee should be all the way from literally the plant to the cup. When I got really serious about opening coffee shop, I knew that I just wanted to do things differently, but I wasn't exactly sure how to do them differently. All I had was a vision. I didn't have the tools to accomplish that vision. Mike came to visit us and saw a mod bar he had heard about mod bar and was blown away. You could tell his reaction was instant and passionate. Mike's perspective was completely unique. No one else has tried to do what Mike is doing. He's empowering his customers to literally build their own drinks. That's a unique approach. No one is giving people the power to pick every element of their drink as it's being built for them. The size of the drink, the type of espresso, the type of milk even. So that as they flow down Mike's bar there in Coupe, they're able to watch things being built. No one has ever really quite done it the way he's doing it. I love the way this place has turned out. People are enjoying it. The response is fantastic. I'm really excited.
