I'm Demario Miliore. I'm a team lead for Union Square Business Improvement District. My job is to look over to cleaning and safety ambassadors, making sure that the streets get serviced and cleaned. The Union Square Business Improvement District and the merchant and business owners have very good relations Every sidewalk is two streets per day and we pressure wash every other week. We remove excessive trash in hazardous waste, illegal d Our role here at the bid is to make sure that first impression of San Francisco is a positive one. Union Square is the heart of San Francisco. Last year our city welcomed over 25 million visitors and for many of them Union Square was their first stop and first impression of our city. The Business Improvement District started in 1999 and has continued today. I've been the executive director since 2012 and certainly seen many changes over the years. As front-line stewards of the cleaning ambassadors work tirelessly to clean up the streets and maintain that level of cleanliness throughout the day so visitors have a positive experience when they visit Union Square. The U. S. Bid, with help from our partners, ensures a welcoming district for all. I love greeting people from all across the world.
