Chantal Guillon is above all a novel interpretation of the macaron, conceived as a unique, original, surprising creation. The selection includes both classic flavors and limited-edition macarons to be discovered according to the seasons and for special events. All created locally in San Francisco by a dedicated French and American team.
We're on Howard Street in San Francisco in the Soma District outside of Chantal Guion. It's a macaroon shop with pastries and teas. Let's go in and check it out. They have three in the city, one in Palo Alto and one on Hage Street as well. But this location is special because there's a window to the kitchen and you can watch everything being made while you're here in the cafe side. I got to try a rose macaroon fresh off the press. It was amazing. They have a wide variety of flavors and styles. They rotate some of them seasonally but they keep their 10 classics here year round. They've just started doing French pastries as well. Look at this flaky croissant. It's buttery, it's delicious. I got to try this really fun beverage. It was a matcha latte with espresso inside.
